Johann Peter Murmann Survey: Minimum Time Required to Qualify as a Sustained Competitive Advantage

On February 6, 2012 I asked members of the mailing list of Business Policy Strategy Division of the Academy of Management participate in a two question survey. I phrased my request as follows:

I am trying to operationalize the temporal dimension of "sustained competitive advantage" and so I am conducting a survey what people think about how long an advantage has to last before it qualifies as "sustained."

Most reponses came in the few days after the initial request but the I am reporting here the 154 responses that were received by April 9, 2012. Below I list the two questions and the results.
